Gandhi Peace Walk - Oct 2nd, 2007 on UNF campus
This walk signifies : World Peace ,Community Tranquility and Individual Wellbeing. Gandhis teachings and practices are relevant in the present times to meet the above challenges.

World Peace We are witnessing an ever-growing disturbed world, full of Greed, Corruption, Hunger, Poverty, Killer diseases, exploding population, dwindling natural resources, sectarian killings and proliferations of nuclear technology and WMDs getting into wrong hands. Gandhis teaching of Education of Human values is remedy of these ills. All our efforts and resources have to get directed towards the achievement of the Human Values.

Community Tranquility By not differentiating among ourselves based on faith, caste, creed, color ,class and any other difference, but by adopting ourselves as the members of the great Human family with full understanding of Human value system will bring tranquility in Communities, Nations and the World.

Individual Wellbeing Society is the sum total of individuals. It is imperative that all the individuals in the Society achieve and unfold their positive traits in a cool, comforting and encouraging atmosphere. If individuals are at peace with themselves ,Societies in turn will be peaceful.

To give meaning and purpose to this dedication and keeping with the spirit and practice of Human Service for promoting peace and welfare for All, we assembled here to solemnly pledge to serve Humanity with every resource(s) available to us. We unselfishly and freely offer our assistance to people in different geographies irrespective of Class, Color and Creed. We do all this with a feeling of Compassion towards All and sincerely intent that the results of our self-exemplary effort(s) will spread the message of good will and harmony to Mankind.
